1. INTRODUCTION

In this article i am going to briefly guide u all about BPSC Exam and preparation strategy. BPSC Exam is conducted almost every year in the state of Bihar for selection to the post of Bihar Administrative Service (BAS), Bihar Police Service (BPS), Bihar Finance Service (BFS) and several other allied services. You can visit BPSC website also for checking notification of vacancy. 2. SCHEME OF EXAM

BPSC exam is conducted in three phase viz, pre mains and personality test. Preliminary test is conducted to screen the candidates for mains exam. Pre exam consist one question paper for 2 hours duration and contains 150 multiple choice questions. Earlier there was no provision of negative marking in BPSC Pre Exam but wef 68th BPSC Pre Exam, the provision of negative marking has been introduced by the BPSC for the first time. One-fourth of the total marks for a question will be deducted in case of wrong answer given by a candidate.The uniqueness in pre exam is the fact that it has 5 option to choose. After qualifying Pre exam, successful candidates are eligible to appear in mains exam which consists five papers of descriptive nature. One optional paper is to be selected by candidate from the list provided by BPSC and it will be qualifying in nature. Further it is also informed that the optional paper will be MCQ and 100 question will be asked. Out of Five question paper Two paper is general studies. The Third paper is Essay and fourth paper is Hindi which is also qualifying in nature. Each mains paper is of 300 marks aggregating to 900 marks. Those who qualify mains exam is called for personality test which consists of 120 marks.
