1. INTRODUCTION
In this post i am going to tell you all about geography optional preparation strategy for BPSC Mains exam. Here i will discuss with you all the syllabus of geography optional and important topics also. I will also tell you the important books which you must study to fetch good marks in geography optional subject.
2. WHY GEOGRAPHY AS OPTIONAL
Geography is a subject with definite syllabus but bit vast and candidates with this optional need to concentrate on conceptual questions that require deep analysis. Students should also be aware of current affairs as well as should be good in India and World Maps. Moreover, Geography is a semi-scientific subject and a preferred among Doctors, Engineers and most of the candidates for its laws, principles, and map-based questions.
3. SYLLABUS OF BPSC MAINS GEOGRAPHY OPTIONAL
Geography optional paper for BPSC Mains can be sub divided in two part. The part one include physical geography and Human Geography. The part two include geography of India. Here is original syllabus copied from bpsc website for your ready reference. In next image you can see the syllabus of part one which include 150 marks out of total 300 marks.
