2. SCIENCE IN BPSC EXAM
Here you must understand that syllabus of science in bpsc pre and in bpsc mains exam is quite different and don't resemble each other. General science is to be studied in bpsc pre exam. Opposite to this Science and Technology (Applied science) is a part of bpsc mains exam syllabus. Now let's understand definition of general science and applied science for better clarity.
GENERAL SCIENCE - "General science refers to the core subjects of science and not a specialized or applied study of a specific area of discipline of science". The sub disciplines for general sciences are Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Let me elaborate this definition with appropriate examples; Motion, heat, light wave, sound, metal, non metal, fuel, electricity, gravitation etc are part of general science.
